Jaipur

This city wins. The hospitality is on point, the sites are remarkable, and I felt oddly at home here (maybe it’s the part of the city palace named Hawa Mahal). Spent an evening at an artisan village, Choki Dhani, listening to folk music, watching dancers, climbing makeshift towers, dodging camels, and trying to eat everything locally made piled on my buffet plate of dried leaves- pleasing my hosts over protecting myself from being host to a gnarly gut bug. GOOD NEWS: I SURVIVED WITH MY APPETITE INTACT.
